In this 55 minute experiential workshop I would like to offer a brief historical perspective of Alfred Wolfsohn (1896-1962), a pioneer in the study of the human voice — how the work of Wolfsohn has been applied and expanded over the last 50 years principally through the work of Roy Hart Theatre from the 1960’s and Voice Movement Therapy from the 1990’s. Then using practical voice and movement techniques from Voice Movement Therapy with participants, I will demonstrate how his work still impacts us and is relevant today.
