Kaatje Jones has a varied and eclectic vocal background, from classical and musical theater to flamenco. She has been singing since her teens, but it wasn’t until she realized that the voice could be used for healing that she fully realized why she was so drawn to vocal practice. To her this work is a mix of joyous discovery and reverent transmutation.
Since discovering VMT in 2019, she began experimenting with how the voice and the body interact with the natural world. She works with both individuals and groups, engaging with each student exactly as they show up. Her goal is to help facilitate a deeper sense of safety and comfort within the body, using song as a key modality for transformation.
Kaatje is a provisional Voice Movement Therapy practitioner based in Sedona, Arizona. She trained with Anne Brownell and Christine Isherwood from 2019 – 2021.
