SUMMARY:LETTERS TO A YOUNG SINGER – Online Seminar with Lena Måndotter
DESCRIPTION:LETTERS TO A YOUNG SINGER – a film about song and soul\n \nSunday 15 March at 10 – 13 (Swedish time)\nOnline seminar where Lena Måndotter will screen her film and lecture on song and soul\nLETTERS TO A YOUNG SINGER is a film about the deep connection between song and soul and psyche and sound. It’s a singer’s journey in search of healing through dreams and myths in the archetypal worlds. It’s filmed in the atmospheric Cretan mountains in Greece where Jungian analyst, singer/song-therapist Lena Måndotter lived for many years.\nThe film had its premiere at Båstad Filmfestival, one of Sweden’s most known film festivals. Since then, it has been screened nationally and internationally at many cinemas, conferences, and seminars. The film also inspired Lena’s new book “The Song of the Soul – the Transpersonal Dimension of Psyche and Sound” (Chiron Publ. 2024, Zürich Lecture Series).\n”This film clearly shows Lena Måndotter’s deep understanding of the connection between song, psyche and body-soul work. The depth of the film is shown in the original and convincing way she uses the images. People who watch this film will be moved at a deep level and even if they don’t understand everything with their heads; their bodies will definitely understand.”  MARION WOODMAN, Jungian analyst, writer and lecturer.\n“Like the poet Rilke, in this film Letters to a Young Singer, Lena Måndotter is passing the torch to a new generation of Singers. The torch was lit long ago by the mythical Orpheus, and it is now in the hands of a most talented heir to the sacred tradition. Lena sings the soul. She and the song are one. She is the song, and the song is Lena. The total effect on the listener is archetypal, a song from the remote and ancient past for the present and the remote future. The music of soul is timeless. See this film and listen to Lena!”MURRAY STEIN, Ph.D., Jungian psychoanalyst. Author of Jung’s Map of the Soul and The Principle of Individuation.\n”Letters to a Young Singer is a brave film about the worlds of song and myth. I have deep respect for Lena Måndotter’s creativity and professionality as a film director and as a producer because the production is also very beautiful. I really hope she continues filming!”\nHENRIK VON SYDOW, SVT – Swedish National Television/Broadcasting.\nMore information and registering: https://www.lenamandotter.com ( https://www.lenamandotter.com/ )\n \n\n\n\n \n
