A Tear & A Smile in the Eye: Lullabies & Laments

Monday, June 1
5:00pm-6:20pm PDT

In this workshop Trish Watts and Mary Diggins--singers, educators and longtime friends--explore the gift and power of lullaby and lament in our human experience. Our lives are built on the movement and lilt of 'rocking'. At the beginning and end of life we are cradled in song. The lullaby beckons us back to the hearth of our existence and the lament expresses the cries of our soul.

Held in Song workshop

'Thresholds are transition times where the veil between worlds can be thin, mysterious and bewildering. I'm offering a workshop exploring the power of song to hold all that is changing. Clarissa Pinkola Este says it beautifully: "To love means to embrace and at the same time to withstand many endings, and many many beginnings- all in the same relationship."
